Sector must learn from blocks on demolition

The High Court's refusal last week to lift an injunction preventing demolition of homes in Darwen, east Lancashire (see Physical Regeneration News, p11), means that two large housing clearance programmes in the North-West remain frozen by judges. The other, the plan to demolish 265 properties in public ownership in Liverpool's Edge Lane West area, was halted by an injunction last month (R&R, 3 November, p3).
