South Uist Estate

Economic development agency Highlands and Islands Enterprise has agreed to contribute £2 million to the £4.5 million community buyout of the 37,230ha South Uist Estate. Earlier this month the Big Lottery Fund contributed £2 million, meaning community group Sealladh na Beinne Moire needs £500,000 to fully fund the buyout.
