A call to end competition in the procurement of public services

A call to end competition in the procurement of public services from third sector bodies was made by the Amicus trade union last week in a meeting with chief secretary to the Treasury Stephen Timms. The union said that reorganising the way public money is distributed to the third sector would boost small organisations.
