Appointment at National Assembly for Wales

Claire Clancy has been appointed chief executive and clerk of the National Assembly for Wales. The post encompasses three responsibilities: chief executive of the assembly commission, accounting officer and clerk to the Assembly. The former chief executive of Companies House, the official government register of UK firms, was recommended for the post by the shadow commission to the assembly, and was appointed following an assembly vote last week.
