Contract awarded to build homes in Thamesmead

A £100 million contract to build 827 homes in Thamesmead in east London as part of the Tavy Bridge Regeneration Project has been awarded to a divisional office of housebuilder Bellway. The regeneration of Tavy Bridge will first involve the demolition of 550 homes, a library, shops, boat club and community centre. Bellway Thames Gateway South said that the work is due to start in the spring.
