East Lothian council appoints Atkins to carry out public transport review

Engineering and design consultancy Atkins has been appointed by East Lothian council to carry out a public transport review. It will look at how the council can deal with future population growth, the need for sustainable transport and how tourism in the area can be supported by new public transport links. It will also investigate strategies to cope with increased commuting, while protecting the environment.
