Scheme approved near Beverley town centre

A £120 million scheme including shops, homes, offices and a new college near Beverley town centre in East Yorkshire has been approved by communities secretary John Denham. East Riding of Yorkshire Council had previously approved the plans, but they were referred to the Government, which held a public inquiry, because of the scheme's large size.
