Spending watchdog slams management of farm scheme

The Rural Payments Agency and the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have shown "scant regard" for protecting taxpayers' money in their management of the EU's main agricultural subsidy scheme, the public spending watchdog said today.
