Number of people claiming jobseeker's allowance rising slowly

The number of people claiming jobseeker's allowance rose at a slower rate than wider unemployment partly because around 261,000 students seeking part-time work are being classified as unemployed, even though they cannot claim benefits, according to a government review to be published later this month.
