Ekos report says coalmining communities suffer deprivation

Coalmining communities in Scotland suffer disproportionately high levels of deprivation, according to a report. The study, by consultancy Ekos, found that the loss of the coal industry had cast a "long shadow" over former mining towns and villages. The report is available via www.regen.net/doc.
