Vow to aid Kirkby after stadium plans rejected

The leader of Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council has pledged to "work tirelessly" to seek new investment for Kirkby's regeneration after the Government rejected Everton Football Club and Tesco's plans for a new stadium and mixed-use development in the town.
