Housing Minister announces consultation

A consultation on plans to encourage rural landowners to allow more of their land to be used for affordable housing projects has been announced by housing minister John Healey. Under the proposals, local landowners would retain the freehold on the land and lease it to housing associations for annual or upfront payments. The consultation is available via www.regen.net/doc.
