Blackpool Council agrees in principle to buy tourist attractions

Blackpool Council has agreed in principle to buy four of the resort's tourist attractions in a bid to stimulate regeneration. By buying the sites, including Blackpool Tower, from owner Leisure Parcs the council hopes to unlock regeneration funding for the attractions unavailable to the private sector.
