Communities secretary rejects plans for tower building

Communities secretary John Denham has rejected plans for a 25-storey tower building in west London. Developer Glenkerrin's mixed-use Arcadia scheme in Ealing had been the subject of a planning inquiry over the summer, after being called in by Denham's predecessor Hazel Blears. Grounds for refusal included the scheme's design.
