Planning for Housing

4 Oct 2017
ILEC Conference Centre, London

Planning For Housing will be back in October, for its fourth year, and is THE annual national gathering for key players within the public and private sectors to congregate, debate and discuss the key challenges when it comes to delivering the housing we need to meet the rapid growth in demand.

The agenda is currently being developed through hours of dedicated in-depth research with senior practitioners, and will be aiming to provide you with practical takeaways that you can implement back at the office.

Join us at the ILEC Conference Centre on 4 October 2017, and take advantage of:

  1. Discover how the infrastructure needed to support housing growth can be financed, in a session featuring National Infrastructure Commission chief executive Phil Graham and Transport for London property development director Lester Hampson

  2. Learn how public and private sector bodies are working together to speed up housing delivery and hear the London Borough of Barking's John East explain how the council aims to build 42,000 homes over 15 years through joint ventures

  3. Hear how to successfully secure site allocations in local plans, explained by the Home Builders Federation Andrew Whitaker and Pegasus Group director Jim Bailey in our new Planning for Development stream

  4. Find out how to engage with elected members in ways that help rather than harm your chances of securing permission, explained by Cherwell Council lead Cllr Barry Wood and Milton Keynes Council leader Cllr Peter Marland

  5. Explore the implications of the new standard methodology for assessing housing need, and the annual agreement of housing land supply, in practical workshops
